Trains, Gin and Cheese - what's not to love!
We are once again running our very popular Gin & Cheese train this summer.
​
The Weardale Railway has teamed up with Durham Gin Distillery and Weardale Cheese to bring you a relaxed afternoon travelling through Weardale.
​​
Board the train at Bishop Auckland and enjoy a leisurely journey alongside the River Wear to Stanhope, whilst tasting and learning about Durham Gin and Weardale Cheese from the experts.
​
The offer includes a welcome cocktail, three Gin & Tonics and a selection of Weardale Cheese served with crackers.
The whole experience lasts for about three hours.
​
Please note that due to our seating configuration of 4 at a table, you may be seated with another party.

The Gin & Cheese train will be hauled using Class 31 locomotives and our Mk3 coaches.
