Back by very popular demand our Gin & Cheese train returns for 2026! Join us for a relaxed and deliciously indulgent afternoon as we travel through the heart of Weardale.
Locally handcrafted gin will be provided from WL Distillery based in Durham as well as artisan cheese produced by Teesdale Cheesemakers.
The train departs Bishop Auckland at 1300. Enjoy the leisurely journey to Stanhope whilst tasting and learning about gin and cheese.
Whether it’s a unique date, a day out with friends, or a treat for someone special - this is a journey you won’t forget. Seats are limited and this event will sell out!
Rolling Stock:
Our Gin & Cheese train will be hauled using Class 31 locomotives and our Mk3 coaches.
