All aboard - Join us on The Santa Express!

The Weardale Railway's festive Christmas train with live onboard performances from our Christmas cast and crew including our conductor, Santa & Mrs Claus and our team of cheeky elves!

The Santa Express is a truly spectacular magical Christmas adventure beginning at Stanhope Station, travelling through Weardale.

Santa Claus is coming to town on the 'Santa Express'. Follow our narrated Christmas story onboard and have lots of fun along the way!

Your festive adventure begins with a cup of hot chocolate and a yummy sweet treat at the station before boarding the train.

Don't forget your Christmas hats and jumpers!

A narrated Christmas Story unfolds during the journey, with some familiar festive sing-along songs and some new Santa Express ones. Plus with immersive entertainment and bags of Christmas cheer all wrapped up in some good old Panto style family fun en-route.

Our journey takes us to a secret location hidden deep in Weardale, where we'll be joined by Santa Claus! Your children will have an opportunity to meet the big man himself and they will receive an exclusive Santa Express gift too!
