Led by Santa’s team of mischievous Elves, every ride is filled with festive fun, gifts for the little ones, and – of course – a special meeting with Santa himself.

Nestled in the heart of the Durham Dales, Stanhope Station is transformed into a magical Christmas destination full of festive atmosphere, sparkling lights and seasonal wonder.
Settle into your carriage an enjoy a truly memorable journey through the winter countryside, with festive entertainment, family fun and a magical visit from Father Christmas himself.

Trains run through November and December. These are fully ticketed with limited capacity so pre-booking is essential.

Parking is available a short walk from the station. Blue badge parking must be arranged in advance.

All seating is arranged around tables, creating a cosy shared setting for families to enjoy the journey together.
Choose from two seat types - 'Gold' and 'VIP'. Our VIP carriages have fewer passengers and more space, allowing for a more personal experience.
Every guest aged 2 or over needs a ticket. Children under 2 are free but must sit on an adult's lap.
