Durham County Council have advised the Causeway Bridge over the River Wear near Wolsingham Station will be closed to road vehicles for two weeks from Monday 11th August, whilst scaffolding is relocated for the next stages of the restoration project.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during these two weeks, however a diversion for vehicles will be in place via Hamsterley and Wear's Bank. If you need to drive to Wolsingham Station, please allow extra time for the diversion or consider using one of our other stations such as Frosterley.
