2024 Operating Season

​

The timetables for our 2024 operating season can be found below. The timetables correspond to the colours on the calendar further down this page. Details of our special trains and events for 2024 can be found in the Events section.

 

A new 'Brown' timetable comes into effect on the 18th July and integrates with the Northern Rail services to Darlington, allowing plenty of time to visit the railway museums at Shildon (Locomotion) and at North Road in Darlington (Hopetown). Please change services via the short footpath between the two stations at Bishop Auckland.

Kids for a Quid

​

Enjoy a day out with the family on the Weardale Railway with our day rover tickets. One adult can travel with up to two children aged 5 to 15 for just £1 each when purchasing a valid day rover ticket. More information can be found by clicking the Fares button below.

Services are operated by Weardale Railway Limited on behalf of The Auckland Project and supported by volunteers of the Weardale Railway Trust.
