Special Event to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of the Weardale Railway Trust

As well as celebrating the 200th anniversary of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway, 2025 also marks the 30th Anniversary of the Weardale Railway Trust, a charitable Trust which was formed from the original preservation society back in 1995.

On Sunday 21st September, there will be a special event at Stanhope Station for members of the Trust and invited guests. The intention is to run two trains between Stanhope and Wolsingham. We hope that members past and present will join us to celebrate this milestone.
