Weardale Railway Trust is a charitable organisation, run by member volunteers, supporting educational activities, operation and preservation of the railway infrastructure and rolling stock on the railway line which operates between Stanhope and Bishop Auckland in County Durham.

Day-to-day operations are carried out by our wonderful volunteers and your membership fee will help maintain our locomotives and the infrastructure over the 16 miles of track between Stanhope and Bishop Auckland.

You can help support the area by becoming a member and perhaps, if you feel able, joining our group of volunteers too. For more about volunteering please click here
