Event Timetable

Saturday.

10.00am till 4.30pm display of period transport on the station frontage at Stanhope.

10.00am till 4.30pm display of military vehicles, demonstrations by reenactment groups, dioramas, side stalls, home front display and 1940’s style ice cream cart on the field.

10.00am till 4.30pm ‘Lineside Cinema’ open for period films and music by the North East Theatre Organ Association in the Education Room.

10.00am ish till 12 noon. Spot On! singing on the train and platform. Lone Piper piping trains into Stanhope. Re-enactors on the trains and platform.

12.00 noon at Frosterley Station. Twenty minute scenario. Battle between German Troops and French Resistance.

2.00pm Fashion Show.

3.00pm Weapons display followed by skirmish.

7.00pm till late. 1940’s dance at the Masonic Hall, Stanhope. Tickets £5.00. Food and drink available at extra cost. Live music – Spot On! three part 1940’s style harmony vocalists. Plus ‘Woody’ with his 1940’s style disco.

Sunday.

10.00am till 4.00pm display of period transport on the station frontage at Stanhope.

11.00am Red Arrows fly past. (weather permitting).

12.00 noon at Frosterley Station. Twenty minute scenario. Battle between German Troops and French Resistance.

1.00pm Church service for all creeds.

2.00pm Fashion Show.

3.00pm Weapons display followed by skirmish.

Trains will be running all weekend between Bishop Auckland and Stanhope, despite there being a war on! Timetables & fares here.
