Weardale Railway Trust Volunteers

You will be aware that we are fast approaching one of our busiest events of the year “War on the Line”.

The event takes place over the weekend of Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th July and we are looking for volunteers to help out on both days.

      In addition to the event itself, we are also looking for help in preparation work on Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th and setting up on Friday 13th July and setting down on the Sunday evening. We would be very interested to hear from you if you are available to help.

Saturday 7th July (preparation work) – anytime between 1000 until 1600
Sunday 8th July (preparation work) – anytime between 1000 until 1600

Friday 13th July (setting up) – anytime between 1000 until 2100
Saturday 14th July (daytime event) – 0800 until 1700
Sunday 15th July (daytime event) – 0800 until 1700
Sunday 15th July (setting down) – 1700 until 2100

        We are looking for volunteers to help in the following areas:-

Erect bunting. Fill sand bags. Tape windows, erect fencing on playing field, mark out playing field, and much more!

Entrance gate staff
Car park stewards
Catering staff
Litter pickers
Station gift shop
Station café,

First Aiders
Operating station tannoy / sound effects
General station assistance
