Santa Specials 2010
 Our recently restored 1st class coach "Nina"

Once again, we anticipate bookings for our Santa Special services to start early. Last year all runs were sold out keeping Santa and his elves extremely busy. We expect them to be just as busy this year!

The return journey starts in Wolsingham from where you travel through the picturesque Weardale landscape to meet Santa in his Stanhope Station Grotto where each child will receive an appropriate quality gift (Seasonal food and drink for the adults).

How many seats are still available?
Special timetables and fares apply:
              Each day two trains depart from and return to Wolsingham, one train in the morning, one in the afternoon.
             The whole excursion takes approximately 2½ hours.
             There are connecting services from and to Bishop Auckland for the morning runs weekdays and Saturdays, for the afternoon runs on Sundays.
              Return fares - adults & children 4 - 12yr  £12
                                               children under 4yr  £ 6

Supplements available:
             Reserve Bishop Auckland connection seats               £5.30 return per adult, £2.65 return per child (5-15 years) 
             Reserve a private compartment (6 to 8 passengers)   £10
             Reserve First Class seats with table service             £3 per passenger

             Running dates are Saturdays/Sundays November 27th - December 19th inc.
                                   Also Monday - Friday December 19th - 24th
